Hello Fellow & Future CPCUs,

I just wanted to take a moment of your day to give you a quick update on what’s happening at the Cleveland Chapter. First, if you, or your employer, hasn’t renewed your membership for 2019, it’s not too late to do so! Our chapter is totally funded by your membership dues so your support is vital to our continued success. We reduced the fees for Candidates and Retirees to 50%, but they keep the same benefits as Full Members. In exchange for your dues you get access to our local CE, lunch and socialization opportunities. Even if you can only attend 3 or 4 of our events, your membership will pay for itself. Second, our next event, on April 18th, is a class about how hackers target businesses and what can be done to prevent it. Is your agency at risk? Watch your emails or check our website for information about how to register.

Another upcoming event you should consider is the Risky Run – www.riskyrun.com, a virtual 5k organized by Gamma Iota Sigma, the college insurance fraternity. You may choose to support one or more Ohio chapters and encourage more young people to join our profession. You can run it anytime, anywhere, at any pace between April 21-27.

In May, we would encourage our members to attend IBNO’s I-day event on May 2. Stop by the CPCU table and say Hi! I also want to invite you to join the officers on May 8th after work for a planning meeting. Location to be announced later. We will make plans for the fall/spring events and meeting topics. Your input is appreciated. This is your organization. If you can’t make it in person, feel free to share your ideas with an officer prior to that date or email them to clevelandcpcu@gmail.com.

Happy Spring!
